We cut Keyring into a handful of parts. After completion of this puzzle by Dutch designer Oskar, the words "key" and "ring" should be properly lined up with each other. The halves part in one order only, and the order is the whole trick.

  • If you try to put the pieces back together without lining up the words correctly, you will have failed even after achieving what appears at first to be a successful matching.
  • It should read "Key Ring" even when upside down.
  • The wording design is courtesy of the prodigy, Scott Kim.
  • Rated level 2 on our six-step ladder, so you know the sit before you start.
  • Small enough for a coat pocket, heavy enough to feel solved.

Bigger and heavier than I expected. Very shiny too!

Another beautiful Hanayama puzzle. The difficulty level seems appropriate. One thing I was happy about is the mirror-like finish. It's just gorgeous. The silver and gold compliment each other so well. There is a hole at the end of both pieces to allow it to be used as a keychain, I guess. I wouldn't want to ruin the finish with scratches though. It hasn't taken me that long to solve it few times, but, I haven't mastered the steps. It's just trial and error so far. The pieces are so thick and heavy that I love just holding it and rubbing the smooth cool metal. This would be a great starter puzzle for anyone knew to the Hanayama line of puzzles.

Fun but somewhat easy puzzle

A really nice puzzle that's easy to slowly make your way through. It's also really durable given that it's cast from metal. A good present to any brainiac in your life.

Looks great

Not extremely difficult yet still challenging and by all means very attractive, looks good sitting on the coffee table. Hanayama makes good puzzles that are guaranteed to last several lifetimes, I know these will be around for my grandchildren.
